Stainless Steel and Titanium
• Light surface marks may develop over time with normal wear.
• Titanium can show cosmetic marks differently than stainless steel because of its lighter weight and surface characteristics.
Water Resistance

• Water resistance is not permanent and can decrease over time as seals and gaskets age.
• Make sure the crown is fully pushed in or screwed down before water exposure.

Timepiece History
Junghans was founded on April 14, 1861, in Schramberg in Germany's Black Forest, when Erhard Junghans and his brother-in-law, Jakob Zeller-Tobler, set up a firm making parts for large Black Forest clocks; the first complete Junghans clocks followed in 1866. By 1903, Junghans had grown into the largest clock manufacturer in the world, and in 1918 it completed its nine-level terrace building, the Terrassenbau, which today houses the Junghans Terrassenbau Museum. Owned by the Steim family since 2009, Junghans remains based in Schramberg today.
Junghans began working with Max Bill, the Bauhaus-trained artist and architect, in 1956, and together they created table clocks in 1958. In 1961 Bill designed Junghans' first line of mechanical wristwatches, which Junghans still produces in nearly the same form. Bill also designed the numerals with a squared shape, and the 4, which resembles an upside-down chair, became a signature of the max bill typography.
